Jaguar Owners Club of Oregon 2006 Judges School
This years Judges School, like last years, will be held on the last Sunday in April (April 30), right after the TMG Clubs Auto Jumble at Montgomery Park. The school will commence at 12:00 PM, a few short blocks NW of Montgomery Park at:
MacTarnahans Tap Room (Formerly Portland Brewing Company)
2730 NW 31st Ave, Portland, OR 97210
Phone: (503) 228-8265
Fax: (503) 226-2702
The Judges Concours Rules Committee (JCRC) has had a very busy year rewriting Chapters I and V and recommending minor changes in Chapters II and VI, and I have authored the MY 68 E-type Judges Guide. These were all accepted at the AGM and are ready for downloading and printing on the JCNA Website Concours Page at www.jcna.com I will have copies available at cost ($10.00) for those not having internet access. Please call or email me so I know how many copies to bring. We will have a special video (subject at this time unknown, but probably on the XK120s), and this year I promise we will have one of those new fangled computer projectors and full amplified sound. These videos go a long way toward achieving JCNAs goal of Uniform Judging throughout North America. The updated Judges Test will be offered for those needing this requirement to obtain or maintain their Certified Judge status. A Practice Judging Session is also planned so bring your Jaguars. I will also have copies of some rare out of print Jaguar books for your perusal and some special things to give out that Mike Cook gave me when I did the MY 68 E-type research at the Jaguar Archives in Mahwah, NJ.
Liquid refreshments will be provided by the club, but lunch will be no host (bring money). Like last year, MacTarnahans requires a hefty minimum (not including 18% gratuity) to reserve the room that we previously received free. We will need exceptional attendance to meet this minimum so please plan to attend and bring a big appetite, wife, (significant other) or friend. JOCO members wishing to become apprentice judges are always welcome as well as members and their guests who do not wish to become Judges, but want to learn the ins and outs of the JCNA Concours Program. These members should contact me so our program can be structured to meet their special needs. I have invited members of JCNA affiliated clubs in Washington and British Columbia to attend.
Please contact me at least one week before the school so that I have an accurate head count and can make proper arrangements with MacTarnahans Tap Room - Thanks!
